Over the last year Bruton Museum has digitised
the church registers from St Mary's Bruton. The records date back
to about 1550 and include christenings, marriages and deaths.
The digital records have been cross indexed so that entries for
individuals who were related to the main entrant ( eg witness
to marriage, wife of deceased etc) can also be found. The resultant
database contains over 80,000 records and so I do not intend to
put it live on the internet! Those who want to search for particular
individuals and/or events should fill out the form below and press
submit, I will deal with the query as quickly as possible and
E Mail back the response.
