To remember and celebrate the peace achieved
in 1945 after years of world conflict, Bruton is holding
a Peace Anniversary Day on Friday 16th September 2005 involving
the town and its community. We would be very interested
to hear from anybody who was evacuated here during the war.
Perhaps you have some memories or even photographs you would
be willing to share. We are compiling a booklet entitled
‘Bruton Memories’ and would be delighted to
include any you would be willing to contribute. Some of
you may even wish to join in the celebrations on the day!
